This handmade wooden nicho has a crackle painted surface trimmed in gold. A paper image of Frida wearing her classic red “rebozo” Mexican shawl is embellished with hand painting. Bottle caps featuring multiple images of Frida surround the larger image. Green satin fabric creates a theatrical effect showcasing leather loops with hanging miniature “bateas”( Mexican painted wooden platters) and “milagros” (Mexican metal religious charms) .
